Buckskin David
Commission Piece Completed 2010
Sculptor: Deborah McDermott
Customizer: Amanda Swenson
When David came to me he was needing to be stripped, and in the process I found he had already been painted over 3 times before in various colors. This is probably what had caused his rough finish on the 3rd paintjob and needing to be stripped and repainted in the first place. So, after a somewhat tedious stripping process I removed his mane and tail. I gave him a loose mane and a braided tail. I then re-prepped him and painted him to a nice shaded buckskin with red ribbon accents in his tail.
